Welcome to Classical Homeopathy and Psychotherapy!

Similia similibus curentur…..the law of similars.

Let likes be cured by likes. The doctrine that any medicine capable of producing morbid/unhealthy symptoms in a healthy person will remove similar symptoms of disease,in a sick person.

A classical homeopath understands health problems/issues: In a wholistic way, meaning that an imbalance on the mental, emotional and physical planes creates symptoms or dis-ease, which is taken into account when a remedy is given.

The treatment is individualized. This explains why 5 different individuals with the same physical problem, (e.g. stomach problems) can receive 5 different remedies, one remedy is given at a time.

Homeopathy can treat most illnesses and symptoms, both acute and chronic, and is safe and effective for all ages, including children. However in Sweden, pregnant women, and children under 8 years old, can not be treated with homeopathy, because this is illegal in Sweden (the only country in Europe).

Homeopathic medicines are safe and has no side effects if taken as prescribed. Homeopathy has been used for more than 200 years after it was founded by Samuel Hahnemann. Homeopathic medicine is recognized by WHO as the most used medicine in the world

HOMEOPATHY

Homeopathy is a 200 year old system of natural medicine that uses highly diluted doses of substances to stimulate the body’s own healing mechanism to promote health.

The use of homeopathic remedies is based on the discovery that natural substances are capable of curing the same symptoms that they can cause. By studying the symptoms that develop when a healthy person tests or „proves“ a remedy, homeopaths can determine which symptoms the remedy is capable of curing. This is called the Law of Similars or „like cures like“.

A simple example of this principle can be seen with the common onion. Slicing an onion can cause symptoms of burning and watery eyes, as well as sneezing and a runny nose. Many hayfever sufferers with symptoms of burning, watery eyes, sneezing, and runny nose have found dramatic relief after taking homeopathic Allium cepa (the remedy made from red onion). Thus the substance that can cause symptoms can, as a remedy, also cure them.

Your combined unique symptoms are even more important than your diagnosis. For example, ten people with severe headaches can describe ten different combinations of symptoms, each requiring a different remedy. By matching a remedy to your particular symptoms, your homeopath is treating you, as an individual, not the disease.

How Are Homeopathic Remedies Prepared?

Homeopathic remedies are prepared from diluted substances, such as plants, minerals, or animal products, which are repeatedly diluted and succussed (vigorously shaken). As this standardized method of dilution and succussion continues, the remedy becomes more powerful. Known as potentization, this process is the hallmark of all homeopathic remedies.

Are Homeopathic Remedies Safe?

The extreme dilution used in the process of preparing homeopathic remedies renders them non-toxic and safe for everyone of all ages, even during pregnancy and while breast feeding. In fact, the non-toxic nature of these remedies makes the manufacturing process safe for the environment as well.

How Do the Remedies Work?

There is no current scientific explanation for how potentized remedies work. However, just as aspirin was used as a painkiller for many decades before scientists understood how it works, homeopathy continues to be used successfully without a definitive explanation of the process behind it. The practical health benefits experienced by millions of people and animals for over 200 years provide convincing evidence that homeopathic remedies are effective.

What Can Homeopathy Treat?

Homeopathy can be effective in treating virtually any health issue – from allergies to zoster (shingles) – regardless of whether the origin is physical, mental, or emotional.

A well-chosen homeopathic remedy can produce dramatic improvement in acute conditions (e.g., viral infections and physical injuries) by significantly reducing the intensity of symptoms and recovery time. Many common children’s complaints, such as bedwetting, colic, diaper rash, earaches, nosebleeds, and teething, also respond remarkably well to homeopathy. Many women find great relief with homeopathic treatment during pregnancy and childbirth and with menstrual irregularities, PMS, and menopausal symptoms.

Homeopathic treatment can be particularly useful in deep-seated, chronic conditions that have developed over a long period of time, frequently accompanied by a general deterioration of health. These include almost all well-known medical conditions, ranging from acne, anxiety attacks, arthritis, and asthma to ulcers, varicose veins, warts, and yeast infections (to name just a few). Homeopathy can help reverse the limitations of chronic disease and maintain long-term health. Even in advanced stages of pathology, in which cure may not be possible, homeopathy can alleviate or reduce severe symptoms, including pain, vomiting, anxiety, or fear.

CONSULTATIONS

***NO NEW PATIENTS FOR NOW***

Classical homeopathic prescribing is based on the selection of a single remedy that most closely matches your symptoms at that time and then waiting to observe your response before administering another remedy. This method is also known as Hahnemannian or constitutional prescribing.

Your first visit with a homeopath usually will take up to two hours.

You will be asked for detailed information about your physical, mental, and emotional health and your likes and dislikes. This will enable your homeopath to understand your unique individuality. Of particular interest will be your reactions to the external world, such as temperature, weather, food, etc. Your homeopath will also search for factors that may have contributed to or caused your illness, including stress, shock, traumas, or family history.

Your homeopath might prescribe immediately or may study your case and supply a remedy at a later date. Usually a follow-up appointment will be scheduled four to six weeks later, to determine the effectiveness of the remedy.

The homeopathic treatment of chronic diseases is a process that takes time, especially when other medications are involved. Your homeopath will require regular follow-up visits in order to assess your reaction to your remedy and to decide whether to repeat it, change its potency, or move on to another remedy.

Included in the first visit is:

  • a review of your medical history
  • a homeopathic analysis, and homeopathic remedy

The first consultation visit lasts between 1.5-2.5 hours

The follow up consultations are scheduled with 4-6 weeks intervals.

Classical Homeopath

It was in 1994 that my interest for homeopathy awakened, when I for the first time witnessed how homeopathy can have a healing effect of a serious medical condition, even though conventional medicine had no effect, or had nothing to offer.

After being a skeptic, I then started to study basic medicine (anatomy, physiology and pathology) and classical homeopathy.

– I want to add that I am NOT against conventional medicine! I believe that, of course, there is a definite need for both conventional medicine as well as homeopathy.

Homeopathic practitioner

  • Graduated after 3 years at TSHM (Toronto School of Homeopathic Medicin) a degree in classical homeopathy, and in basic medicine (anatomy, physiology, pathology, clinical work).
  • HMC Homeopathic Master Clinician
  • Louis Klein’s 2 years advanced course in classical homeopathy,
  • Continuous education at International seminars with experienced and well known homeopaths, such as:
  • Misha Norland (England), Jan Scholten, Alize Timmerman, Holland;
  • Louis Klein, Canada; Rajan Sankaran, Farouk Masters, India;
  • Paul Herscu, Will Taylor, USA.

I am a Classical Homeopath.
This means that I prescribe small doses of only one homeopathic remedy at a time, which supports the body’s own healing capabilities. I have been in private practice in Ottawa Canada, since September 2000.

I have recently returned to my country of origin, Sweden, and now have a private practice, in Stockholm and in Dalvik/Falun for: Classical Homeopathy and Psychotherapy.

Registered Classical Homeopath in Canada (CSH)

Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist (OSWSSW)
